Italy striker Giuseppe Rossi told media that the Azzurri can be “satisfied” after their 2-2 draw with Nigeria on Monday night.
The Fiorentina striker gave Italy the lead before goals from Ameobi and Dike gave Nigeria the lead until a Emmanuele Giaccherini equalizer rescued a draw for Italy.
“I’m happy with the goals and performance of the team,” Rossi said.
“We had a great game and we’re sorry we conceded those two goals but we go home satisfied.”
Rossi started alongside Mario Balotelli at Craven Cottage, and Rossi told journalists he has a positive rapport with the striker.
“Balotelli is a good guy like me, I get on well with him,” the striker said.
“He has to stay calm and serene and sooner or later he will also find goals, but he did give me a great pass for the goal.”
